Abstract:  The Canadian Peace Alliance (CPA) has been organizing against war in the Middle East. The goal of the campaign is to pressure the Canadian and other governments to seek a peaceful solution to the Gulf crisis. The CPA is asking Canadian to write or send a telegram or fax to External Affairs Minister Joe Clark, Defence Minister Bill McKnight, Prime Minister Brian Mulroney, and local MPs expressing opposition to war. The CPA is also organizing a variety of other protest actions in collaboration with local groups. Contact your local peace group for more information or call the hot line at (416) 340-7626.
