The International Federation of Journalists (IFJ) condemns a call from newspaper publishers for more job losses in journalism across the globe.
Abstract: The International Federation of Journalists (IFJ), the biggest journalists' group in the world, today condemned a call from newspaper publishers for more job losses in journalism across the globe.
The IFJ says a survey of the publishers' association, the World Association of Newspapers (WAN), which is advocating more outsourcing and reduction of the workforce in the newsrooms is a "manifesto for destruction of quality journalism."
