Abstract: Independent Jewish Voices # Canada salutes the sponsors and crew of a new boat attempting to break the blockade of Gaza. The boat, #Irene,# is sailing under a British flag and is carrying Jews from the US, UK, Germany and Israel. Its cargo includes symbolic aid in the form of children#s toys and musical instruments, textbooks, nets for Gaza#s fishers, and prosthetic limbs for orthopaedic care in Gaza#s hospitals which resulted from Israel's attack on Gaza in 2008-2009.
