Abstract: OTTAWA Fire may be at the top of a homeowners biggest worries list, and rightfully so. On average, fire kills eight people each week in Canada. Residential fires continue to account for the largest number of fires in Canada. In 2002, residential property fires resulted in 250 deaths, approximately 82 per cent of the nations fire fatalities.
