Art created by children in Gaza after Israel's bombardment of Gaza in 2008 is to be shown in various locations in Vancouver Mar 9 - 16. Original show in Oakland, Ca. cancelled after pro-Israel groups protested.
Abstract: Vancouverites have a chance to see the children's art show that nearly didn't show in the U.S. last fall.
The Museum of Children's Art in Oakland, California cancelled an exhibition of drawings and paintings by children in Gaza after pressure from the Jewish Community Relations Council and Jewish Federation of East Bay.
Local citizens and the international community objected strenuously to the censorship and A Child's View from Gaza opened at another venue in Oakland to critical acclaim...
