On DAY 10 of the Fast, climate activists, maintain their presence on Parliament Hill to call on the Government to take immediate action to confront the Climate crisis and ask for public to pledge their support.
Abstract: I am writing from the Fast for Climate Justice on Parliament Hill. We are now in our 10th day of a 12 day fast. We are here asking Canadians to urge their MPs to support three essential policy changes:
1) end fossil fuel subsidies
2) put a price on carbon
3) develop a renewable energy strategy for Canada.
The group has received the support of many individuals, organizations and some MP's. Maude Barlow has pledged her support and has just received a message from David Suzuki, who writes:
