In the wake of Ombudsman's report on unlicensed care, licensed child care operators caution legislators not to paint all child care programs with the same brush. Bill 10 won't fix broken child care system, they say, urging amendments.
Abstract: Yesterday, the Ontario Ombudsman, André Marin, formally released his report on the Ministry of Education's response to complaints and concerns relating to unlicensed, informal care providers. The Association of Day Care Operators of Ontario (ADCO), which represents the owners/operators of independent licensed child centres across the province welcomed the Ombudsman's report.
