When you place someone on the seat of power, it can corrupt them.
Abstract: When you place someone on the seat of power, it can corrupt them. Leaders can turn your entire organizations beliefs backwards. The Congress of Racial Equity once fought for black Americans and against the American apartheid. Now, however, the only relevancy they can retain is when they shame black lives matter protesters or when they are praised for it by the American political right. What was once an organization that fought along side Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. now fights to eject people of Asian decent from Uganda.
