The International and European Federation of Journalists have welcomed the action against Poland's restrictive media law.
Abstract: First Vice-President of the Commission Frans Timmermans announced this morning that a preliminary assessment will be carried out within the EU's Rule of Law Framework. In the following weeks, the European Commission will enter into a dialogue with the Polish government to further assess the situation of media in Poland.
