Abstract: Toronto, ON - January 19, 2017 - The Investment Funds Institute of Canada (IFIC) announces that for the month ending December 31, 2016, the assets under management (AUM) for the mutual funds industry reached $1.34 trillion. Year-to-date, industry AUM increased by $107.7 billion or 8.7%.
Net sales for the mutual funds industry were $1.81 billion. Net sales of long-term funds were $1.67 billion and net sales of money market funds were $139.9 million.
