This past weekend in both Toronto and Victoria, VOW members held Ban the Bomb events in protest of the current Canadian government boycotting the UN talks on nuclear weapons. VOW will be running peace leadership camps in BC, ON, and NS this August.
Abstract: Canada is not participating in the UN meetings that are taking place from June 15th to July 5th, to negotiate a legally binding treaty to ban nuclear weapons. This past weekend in both Toronto and Victoria, VOW members held Ban the Bomb events in protest of the current Canadian government boycotting the talks. In both events participants formed human peace signs with hopes that nuclear weapons will be abolished. For pictures from the two events please click the links below:
