Abstract:  This article is seperated into five parts, each examining a different topic:

Part 1: Building on the effort of Republican Gov. Ron DeSantis to curb vaccine requirements and other health mandates during the COVID-19 pandemic, Florida will work to phase out all childhood vaccine mandates in the state.

Part 2: After Secretary of Health and Human Services RFK Jr. fired Dr. Susan Monarez, his handpicked choice as the Director of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, he used her own plan to explain why she became persona non grata.

Part 3: Following the 2025 August 8 shooting at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention in Atlanta, the fact that the entire Gun Violence Prevention team within the CDC's Injury Centre had been RIF'd the previous April was stark, as no one conversant with the underlying causes of gun violence was available to comment on the events.

Part 4: The institutions funded by our taxes are the cost of civilization; however, the spirit of the time is leading directly to the destruction of these institutions that are essential to our cultural, social, political, intellectual, and individual health and survival.

Part 5: Article author KLG briefly examines the question of "Where did we come from?" and challenges the current trajectory of science.
