Proposal given to the Quebec government to establish a detox center in downtown Montreal.
Abstract: This brief proposal was given to the Quebec Ministry of Social Services as part of an ongoing effort to pressure the government into establishing a detox facility in the urban core of Montreal. It includes some suggestions as to goals, physical layout, location, staff and procedures for such a detox. There are currently no detox facilities in the core of Montreal and a "drunk tank" approach by the police. Montreal Committee for Detoxification Center, Gerry Pascal, coordinator.
