Abstract: The First International Congress on Uranium Congress was held in Saskatchewan; appropriately, as the foreword points out, since Canada produces more uranium than any other country, with the bulk of it being mined in northern Saskatchewan. The Congress report is a good basic overview of the issues related to uranium mining, including military, environmental, human rights, and Native People's concerns.
