Telefilm Canada frozen

Abstract: The Progressive Conservative government imposed a five-year budget freeze on Telefilm Canada, the federal agency which provides funding for the production and distribution of Canadian films and television programs. Taking inflation into account, this translates into a budget cut of about 20 per cent.
