Yet with the involvement of global financial houses in the prison industrial complex, the pressure mounts to produce value for shareholders. Ultimately, this systematically incentivizes mass incarceration. While we often hear about the activities of private prison providers like Corrections Corporation of America (CCA) and the GEO Group, corporate interests are immersed in every aspect of criminal justice.
