They have also linked Canada to the United States with the adoption of the Free Trade Agreement and launched a full scale attack on the welfare state. The NDP is not spared his criticism and is blasted for its "appalling" performance in the free- trade election. It is a poweful jounalistic book that stands up well despite the passage of years.
